Give God your unfair situations of life. Ask Him for wisdom with the troubles and injustice of your life. Ask God to help you understand the end result, and rejoice you have God on your side. Memorize Psalm 73: 11, 25.

Crime rises, people are financially cheated, divorce settlements are unfair, abuse is rampant, and words hurt.

Injustice has affected us all and people seemly get away with it. So where is justice?

God is behind the scenes and He is on it! When we take things into our own hands, without God’s help, we are doing ‘what feels good’. Let God rule knowing ‘you are all I want’ for in that you will have peace even though it doesn’t make sense. Let the God of Justice deal with your injustice.

God of Justice, fill us with Your peace. We do not understand when unfairness falls at our feet and hurts us. We are asking for Your work in these situations. Give us wisdom, direction and patience. Thank you that You are all we need and help us to rest and trust in You. In the All-Powerful Name of Jesus, amen.

“Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.” Psalm 139:16 (NIV)

I am a people watcher! Wherever traveling to Mexico, British Columbia, New York City, or within my own little town, I am intrigued by the people around me.

Each human life has a story whose pages I may never read. I see an elderly man walking down the street gripping his walker, a young mom at the park with a quiver full of children, the tattooed orange-haired teen at the street corner, and the executive driving his fancy car. Many times I find myself asking God to take care of them.

What’s important and reassuring is that God knows exactly their book of life. He has placed all of us on earth for a reason and a purpose. Whether climbing the corporate ladder, raising a family, struggling in a marriage, or lonely and looking for love, God is reaching out to help. It was projected that in 2015 there would be an estimated 7.325 billion people inhabiting earth.

Sometimes it might seem like God isn’t interested in us. Not so! God knows the hairs on our head (Luke 12:7), and knows the issues we face each day (Psalm 139:2). He designed our unique personalities, and sees our dreams and goals.

As you sit reading these words, know that God is waiting to help write your story…and what a story that will be!

God in Heaven, thank You that You love to help us write our story. In Your world of over 7 billion people, thank You that You know the number of hairs on our head, and are waiting to help us write our story. We are asking for Your help and Your wisdom as we put one foot in front of the other. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Let God take your life and make something beautiful. What specific issues can you ask God to help you with this week? Write a prayer list and goals asking God to help you write your story.

“You have shown me the path to life, and you make me glad by being near to me. Sitting at your right side, I will always be joyful.” Psalm 16:11(CEV)

Today, I have some important choices to make. God has graciously given me the next 24 hours and He has promised to be near and show me my path. What will my day be like?

Asking three questions to jump-start a new day can help us focus.

1. What will I DO today with God beside me?

Whether in the workplace, a seniors home, parenting, or in relationships what can we do that will be God-honoring. A word of encouragement, hugging a child, a right ethical decision, or a listening ear can all be pleasing to God.

2. What will I SAY today with God beside me?

In the next 24 hours the words that come out of our mouths can be an effective example as a servant of Jesus Christ. Words can destroy or build up, say a lie or tell the truth, and can heal or hurt. God is there to help.

3. What will I THINK about today with God beside me?

Our brains are a mighty search engine. Asking God to help us fill our minds with good and pure thoughts will help us make positive choices today for now and in the future.

Our Father in Heaven, thank you for the next 24 hours. We are asking for guidance in what we do, say, and think. Thank you for walking beside us and showing us the path of life. We are so grateful for the fact that You love to be near us. That makes us joyful. Help us as we continue to walk all the 24 hours that You give us. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Thought: As you go throughout your day think of ways to be Jesus to others. What encouraging words can you say? When negative thoughts enter your mind, fill them with thoughts of God. With God beside you, look for ways to be His servant.

We email and text on our cellular devices with little face-to-face communication.

“In my distress I called to the Lord; I called out to my God. From his temple he heard my voice; my cry came to his ears.” 2 Samuel 22:7

“You never listen to me!” “Did you hear what I just said?” Do these comments sound familiar?

Sadly, listening has become a lost art. We email and text on our cellular devices with little face-to-face communication. People listen with very little eye contact all the while looking around or checking their mobile phones. How many times have we thought about the long to-do list, our budget, or what to have for supper while someone is talking to us?

In contrast, God our Father, loves to listen to us. From the beginning of time, He heard the cries of His people.

Another verse found in Deuteronomy 26:7 says, “Then we cried out to the Lord, the God of our ancestors, and the Lord heard our voice and saw our misery, toil and oppression.”

We may feel people don’t listen to us, but without a doubt, our Heavenly Father hears our cries. In my hours of deep distress, and doubt, God has always been there to listen. No need to text or email because we have direct access to God, Our Listener. I love David’s words in 1 Samuel 22, “my cry came to his ears.”

Feeling we have been heard, our burden seems lighter encouraging us to move forward. God always listens to our heartfelt words whether it is one word for help or long in-depth details.

Then… we trust.

Father God, thank You that You are always ready to listen and hear our cry. We are grateful that You are willing and ready for us to communicate. Help us to trust you with our requests. We need strength and courage each and every day as our cries come to Your ears. In Your Holy Name, Amen.

Cry out to God believing that He hears you without any distractions. Make a conscious effort to talk to God throughout the day believing He hears your cries. Next time you are talking to someone, give them your ears, it will be an encouragement.
