“Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. Full of honor and majesty is his work, and his righteousness endures forever.  Psalm 111:2-3

We were so busy.  The demands on our time during the 28 years my husband was the leader of a large Christian organization were enormous. Besides having four children, ailing parents and a farm, I hardly ever had extended time to really enjoy God and His creation.

I remember praying many times, “Lord, I would so much love to have more time to enjoy You and the majesty of your creation.” God answered my prayer! Now that I am semi-retired, God has given me time to exult in Him and His majestic Creations. Flowers in my yard and birds in the bird feeder. I love the lush green pastures and animals on the rolling hills. I am awed by the huge snow capped mountains.

I am feel humbled by the perfectness of our newborn great grandchildren.  He has answered my prayer many times.  I am so grateful

But I find it difficult to write about the awe I feel toward God and His creation, but I found that the lyrics of a song written by Mark Altrogge, express my feelings so well.

You are beautiful beyond description
Too marvelous for words,
Too wonderful for comprehension
Like nothing ever seen or heard.
Who can grasp your infinite wisdom,
Who can fathom the depth of your love?
You are beautiful beyond description
Majesty enthroned above.
And I stand, I stand in awe of you.

Holy God to who all praise is due,
I stand in awe of you.

Father, I adore you and thank you for all the blessings you bestow on us, your beloved children. Amen.
