Carol was a defiant woman. Pride was her armor. And anger was her companion. She was a political activist. She actually enjoyed wielding her fury.

People cowered under Carol’s verbal attacks. Except for Linda.

Carol hated her sincere smile and how she seemed unfrazzled by harsh words. Carol confronted Linda and insulted her faith as a test. Linda’s response was, ”Jesus loves you, Carol.” and walked away.

Carol was shocked. Inwardly she felt ugly and hateful. That night, she broke down in tears. She kept repeating Linda’s words, “Jesus loves you, Carol.”

Carol apologized to Linda the next day. And asked about Jesus.

The One who could free her from anger and hatred.

Carol found release through her new faith in Christ.

Dear one, Jesus Christ can give you a new life today!

3 keys for a Strong New Beginning

Knowing what you want out of life is important but it’s not enough. It takes more than boldness but humility as well to go ahead with your life goals.

When it’s time for God to move you to a new sphere and make you more affluent, God can end the big thing you’ve been working on and start something new in your life. If you’re not careful, you may dread the new or even keep looking back. The sooner you accept the past is over and you look ahead with a heart of gratitude, the easier it becomes for you to build a great future.

Focusing on starting something afresh will give you hope and propel you forward rather than putting your mind on the past.

Unless you are humble enough, you will not accept to move forward with the new.

Key #1 Your perception

After they anointed David as a future King, he stayed in the wilderness for many years till he lived out his appointment as a king. Not only did it take patience, but humility. David didn’t know how long he had to wait to take over from King Saul. One of the most admirable character traits of King David is that he waited for whatever time it would take for him to become King.

So, if you believe God is greater than yourself, you will learn to trust Him. Humility will help you and I to depend on Him. If you perceive God as powerful, you will believe He can do what appears to be impossible for you.

Key #2 Self

We all have selfishness in us. Not only do we want things to go well but we want to do better than others. This is one trait of humanity. However, it takes humility to assist those assigned to you—to consider their needs. No one can help everyone. Yet, when you accept to help others, you become more selfless. As this happens, putting others first is a sign of humility. However, this doesn’t mean you need to permit others to walk all over you.

Key #3 Your new beginning

We need to defeat self-exaltation. While it’s great to envision something big as part of your life’s goals, it takes the strength of humility to be willing to start something small.

Almost everyone feels fear with a new beginning. However, if you are humble enough to be willing to start small and to do it afraid, God will exalt you.

He will then enlarge your territories at the right time.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! “ 2 Corinthians. 5:17

The old year is gone and the new has come.

It is a blank slate. Last year is history and this year is a mystery. Who knows what the New Year will bring? God does! Perhaps your best act would be to place the right foundation on the face of the New Year in your life. That foundation is the Gospel message plain and simple.

God so loved the world He created that He gave sinful man a second chance by sending His only Son as our Savior, not only for us, but for the whole world.

God has a plan for our lives in this coming year and for all years to come. His plan is for us to believe in Him and have everlasting life.
Not only does He have plan, but, He has a provision. He sent His only son as a provision for us. We can take that to the redemption center at the foot of the cross and have everlasting life, gloriously in eternity.
Lastly, He has a promise. We all make and break promises, especially at this time of the year, but God’s promise of eternal life is written in blood and cannot and will not be broken. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. (John 3:17)

No other verse in the Bible so succinctly summarizes God’s relationship with humanity and the way of salvation than does John 3:16 revealing God’s plan, provision and promise. Some consider John 3:16 as the “theme verse” for the entire Bible. John 3:16 tells us of the love God has for us and the extent of that love—so great that He sacrificed His only Son on our behalf. John 3:16 teaches us that anyone who believes in Jesus Christ, God’s Son, will be saved. John 3:16 gave us the glorious hope of eternal life in heaven through the love of God and death of Jesus Christ.

There is no more powerful way to deliver this message than to let John 3:16 speak for itself. God so loved the world (you and me) that He sent His only begotten Son so that all who believe shall not perish, but have everlasting life.
