The Hudson River churned furiously as Marlinda stared at the white water below her. Like the rapid water, Marlinda’s heart swirled with confusion and hopelessness.
She didn’t see the woman coming up behind her. But just as Marlinda started over the edge, the woman grabbed her, pulling her back to safety. Just that morning God had laid on that person’s heart to pray for a stranger in desperate need of hope!
Later the rescuer’s sister called Marlinda. She said, “The life God has for you is better than anything the world has to offer.” As Marlinda fell to her knees, she cried out to God and invited Jesus to take control of her life.
