But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man do not even eat.1 Corinthians 5:11 (NIV)

daily devotionalSandi was so lonely. She’d been a widow who hadn’t dated in several years.

Then, one day, a wonderful man came into her life. He pursued her – flowers, dinners and sweet words.  He SAID he was a Christian.

But within a few weeks, he wanted the relationship to be intimate. He said this was a gift from God to make people happy. But Sandi stood firm. She cared for the man and wanted a companion, but his view of God did not agree with the Bible.

The Bible says, we’re to run from immorality and that’s just what Sandi did. It was time to end the relationship.

Her heart was broken but she knew the Lord loved her obedience. She felt better too.  As it turned out, he was married and separated from his wife!

Friend, God really does know best!
