“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
Following Jesus isn’t always an easy task. Just ask Anna.
Because of severe abuse, her physical pain was so bad at times that she contemplated suicide.
But through all that, Anna declared:
“MY FAITHLESSNESS DID NOT CHANGE GOD’S FAITHFULNESS!”
Anna admits she may still struggle in her faith, but it’s only when she focuses on the short-term pain.
With God’s help, He shows her how to see the long-term joy for those who believe in Him.
Nothing is purposeless in God’s hands! even pain.
One of Anna’s favorite verses is where God says,
“For I know the plans I have for you…
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Yes, friend, your faithlessness will not change His faithfulness.
