Donna left the meeting shaking her head. She asked Sally, “Is there something wrong with me?”
Both friends had attended a supposedly Christian study.
But instead of hearing anything about Jesus, they reviewed a popular self-help book.
Sally responded by reading a Bible verse.
Jesus said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.”
The Apostle Paul also said,
“I’m glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.”
You see, by yourself, you’re weak. “SELF-help” is insufficient.
It’s only when your life is Christ-centered that you find strength.
So, at the next meeting time, Donna shared the scripture,
“I can do all things through Christ, Who strengthens me.”
Dear one, self-help will leave you empty. Fill your life with Christ!
(2 Corinthians 12:9 & Philippians 4:13 NLT) “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me.
