“By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” John 13:35
Erin and Pete were married during their second pregnancy. They were both admittedly selfish. But two selfish people equal one miserable relationship.
Erin’s heart grew cold because she believed Pete had broken it. On the other hand, he felt neglected, unneeded, bitter and resentful towards her. They teetered on divorce. Each one was unwilling to make unselfish choices and waited for the other to change.
But then someone invited Erin to attend a women’s Bible study. She says, “I was encouraged by the hope of the message of God’s grace and forgiveness. For the first time, I thought that with God’s help, saving our marriage was possible.” As God revealed their selfishness, Erin and Pete committed their lives and marriage to Christ.
Friend, God can revolutionize your life, too! It starts with your being willing to change.
