The Confession
by Katy Kauffman
In the stillness of the night You hear my cry
You know the battle in my soul
I give the fight all I have and try
To bear the rigorous toll
You embrace me in my weakest moment
You remind me of Your great love
In my daily predicament
I know I have help from up above
In my heart You calm the raging sea
Your commanding voice says, “Peace, be still”
The fears and anxieties immediately flee
With rest and peace my heart does fill
I don’t know if healing will come this side of glory
I don’t know how hard the journey will be
But I know You write my story
Every page becomes a testimony
Shine Your light through my brokenness
Let all see Your grace and truth
Let them see You haven’t forsaken me
The great good You’re doing is the proof
For You turn my sorrow into blessing
You turn my weakness into power
Your grace I will keep confessing
You are my safe and strong tower
Every day I will confess Your goodness
Every night I will remember Your love
Show me Your forever faithfulness
I will show You my forever love

If you have never surrendered your life to Christ, and would like to know Him in the way that Katy does, you can start today. Simply say this prayer and your journey with Christ will begin:
Prayer
Lord Jesus, I want to trust you from now on. Thank You for dying on the cross for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive You as my Savior and Lord. Thank You for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Take control of my life. Make me be the person You want me to be. Thank you for enabling me to trust you in these uncertain times. Amen.
Another Sample Prayer:
Dear God, today I bring you my life, my hopes, my dreams, my deepest yearnings … You know me intimately. You knew me even before I was formed in the womb. You called me into this world to do good and live the life I was uniquely and specifically created for. I ask for Courage and Wisdom to live this life–the life of my dreams. Show me where to start and help me be open to hearing your Voice today. I ask for a greater consciousness of your Presence, today and every day of my life. Amen.
